Redundancy in Game Cinema: ‘Uncharted’ and ‘The Last of Us’

Comic-Con 2021 Is Cancelled and Going Virtual

We have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that the San Diego Comic-Con 2021 is cancelled (booing, tears). The good news is that they’re moving some of their events online.

Due to Covid-19 safety concerns, CCI will be cancelling all in-person events at San Diego, as well as their Spring WonderCon event for later this March. However, like last year, [email protected] will be a free three-day event occurring in late July. Some of the panels and events expected to happen at the Spring Comic-Con will be held there instead.

While it won’t be quite at the same level of meeting Stan Lee (rest in peace) live and in-person, having some of the events available online is a small consolation.

Those with Comic-Con 2021 badges will be able to exchange them for Comic-Con 2022 badges, or they can request a full refund in the next few days.

CCI also mentions in the same statement that they’re having to reduce the length of [email protected] to a mere three days due to financial restraints—cancelling two years in a row has definitely taxed the company significantly.

My biggest concern is still mostly for the vendors that sell their merchandise at the Artist’s Alley. For many of them, this is their biggest income source of the entire year—especially for those who sell fandom-specific gear like cosplay props and weapons.

Someday, we shall be able to to attend conventions in-person once again, but we’re not quite there yet.
