Stephen King Sells Movie Rights to Short Story for $1

According to The Guardian, Stephen King has sold the film rights to his short story ‘Stationary Bike’ for a generous total of $1!   The sale was made to students at the Blaenau Gwent Film Academy in Tredegar, Wales, as part of King’s Dollar Babies initiative. The program allows young filmmakers to adapt any of his short stories that aren’t already under contract.    The initiative began over forty years ago.
