He’s been stung, bit, and chomped by some of the most fearsome insects out there, and now Coyote Peterson is actually doing something exciting: releasing a book.

“Coyote Peterson’s Brave Adventures: Wild Animals in a Wild World” is a collection of short stories about Peterson’s run-ins with all manner of critters (i.e., not just insects). He’s had exciting encounters with grizzly bears, gorillas, alligators, and other living things I don’t want to meet.
But probably the most horrifying animal I’ve seen Peterson with is this gigantic wasp (spoiler: it stings him):
He’s also been bit by a lionfish, stung by a bullet ant, and has held a black widow spider. If you have any questions for Peterson (for example, why do you do this?), catch him on his book tour. Here’s his announcement:
“Coyote Peterson’s Brave Adventures: Wild Animals in a Wild World” comes out September 12.
