Who says you can’t make money selling books?
Yesterday the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, briefly overtook Bill Gates to become the world’s richest person! The leap occurred after a rise in the share price of Amazon ahead of its latest results due Thursday night.
It may bring hope to some to learn that Bezos began by selling books out of garage in Seattle in 1994.

The rise pushed Bezos’s fortune to $91 billion, compared with Gates’ $90 billion. But the Amazon share price fell back leaving Gates on top, but with less than $1 billion separating them.
Bezos has used some of his vast wealth to buy the Washington Post, and also to invest in space travel through his company Blue Origin. In January, after President Trump instituted the travel ban against seven Muslim-majority nations, Bezos pledged the company’s full legal resources to fight it.
