The new trailer highlights both the original storyline and a new addition: a plot about a young girl with an overbearing, success-oriented mother. The two tales are separated by their animation styles, with the original story featuring a more classic look that’s reminiscent of stop-motion animation.
This movie is old news to those living in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s home country of France – it came out in French theaters back in July of 2015. The English-language version will hit theaters in the United States on March 18, 2016, and it will feature some big-name voice actors. Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, True Grit) lends his voice to the pilot, while Riley Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) will be the prince. The young girl protagonist, a new addition to the classic story, will be voiced by Mackenzie Foy (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2).
