‘Voldemort: The Origins of the Heir’ Film Coming Soon

He Who Must Not Be Named is one of the most intriguing and complex villains. He’s got quite an interesting back story that readers would love to know more about. You’d think that the Harry Potter world has been stretched thin when it comes to adaptations and spin-offs, but nope! The infamous evil wizard from the series is getting a film all to himself. Voldemort: The Origins of the Heir will focus on Tom Riddle’s life after he leaves Hogwarts.

An independent company, Tryangle is looking to release the film in a few months. The movie will be fan-made and the catch is that the film isn’t associated in any way with Warner Bros. or J.K. Rowling. There might be some legal trouble ahead!

Some aspects of the Potter world will be changed in the upcoming film. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the filmmakers have introduced a character by the name of Grisha McLaggen Jnr who claims to be the heir of Gryffindor. While there is a McLaggen in the original books who’s on the Quidditch team, he isn’t a major character. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens with the changes!
