Universal has acquired the film rights to Tracy Wolff’s young adult vampire novel ‘Crave.’

‘Crave’ is a supernatural fantasy that is followed through the perspective of Grace, a regular girl who finds herself in conflict at a supernatural school divided by factions. In the midst of it all, Grace falls for a vampire prince named, Jaxon Vega. Grace feels compelled to Jaxon; she feels that there is something that needs to be fixed in him, similar to what is broken in herself. However, she learns that Jaxon is broken for a reason. Will this result in death for the both of them?

 

The book was released yesterday on April 7th through Entangled Publishing and distributed by Macmillan New York. Universal’s SVP of Production Jeyun Munford and Creative Executive Christine Sun will manage the project. There is currently no cast associated with the movie.

I have heard read many positive reviews on the novel and I expect the same for the film (which never happens). If this book is at all similar to the Twilight series, i just want to say I’m already team Grace. I love a book with a strong female lead and that’s enough of a reason to give it a read!
