This past weekend, Piers Morgan and J.K. Rowling duked it out on Twitter.
First, Rowling tweeted that “watching Piers Morgan being told to f*ck (sic) off on live TV is exactly as satisfying as I’d always imagined.” Morgan, never one to miss out on a Twitter row or two, shot back at Rowling by saying he’s never read “a single line of Harry Potter.” Interestingly enough, some Internet sleuths uncovered numerous Potter references in Morgan’s timeline. Morgan quickly chalked that fact up to his son being a big Potter fan, something he attributed as “a serious failure in (his) parenting skills.”
In light of this exchange, Big Green Bookshop, a small independent bookstore based out of North London, decided to give internet trolling a go with a proposed 32,567-tweet long thread in which they tweeted every. Single. Line. from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone at the British journalist and television personality.
Talk about dedication.
To be clear, this isn’t the work of an automated robot spitting out tweetable chunks of prose into the vast Interwebs. No, this is in fact the work of a tireless bibliophile, dedicated to the craft. Shout out to this unidentified person.
You go, Glen Coco.
