Top 5 ‘Harry Potter’ Shows We Want to See

According to comicbook.com, HBO Max will be teaming up with Warner Bros. in order to create a Harry Potter HBO series – a dream come true for all Harry Potter fans! What the show will be about, though, is anyone’s guess. So, here are some ideas for Harry Potter shows we would like to see.

1. The Next Generation

Many of us don’t consider Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to be canon at all. So, why not start fresh by creating a brand-new story about Harry’s children, their cousins, and their friends? We could get to know James Sirius and Lily Luna more than we did in The Cursed Child, along with Teddy, Hugo, and all the others on the family tree that we have yet to see much of. And we’ll get to see how Harry and the rest of his friends are as adults. Wouldn’t that be cool?

2. Teenage Dumbledore and Grindelwald

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald does focus on Dumbledore and Grindelwald as adults, but don’t we all crave to know more about the summer that Dumbledore and Grindelwald became friends back when they were teenagers? It would be something to see such a young Dumbledore on screen – what would he be like? How would he interact with his siblings? And how exactly did Grindelwald use his charisma to charm Dumbledore? Whatever the answers to these questions are, they’re sure to be intriguing.

3. The Marauders

Of course, this had to make it onto the list. There is so much fanfiction out there about the Marauder era that it’s dizzying – fans simply can’t get enough of the previous generation! It would be interesting to see more of Lily and Snape’s interactions, as well as their dynamic with the Marauders. What sort of role did Dumbledore play in the lives of these six characters during this time period? Did Lily and James ever confront Voldemort while they were still in school? We know plenty about this generation, but even so, there’s a lot that we still don’t know and are interested to know more about.

4. Right After the Battle of Hogwarts

Wouldn’t it be great to see what happened right after Harry saved the day in Deathly Hallows, instead of skipping straight to nineteen years later? The ending of book seven raises a lot of pressing questions, after all. For instance, how did Ron’s family react to Harry and Ginny (and Ron and Hermione) getting together? How did the main trio deal with the trauma that they experienced during the war? Did they confront Draco and form a truce? Ah, if only there had been an eighth book to tie up all of these loose ends.

5. Tom Riddle’s school years

Imagine if we had a show about Tom Riddle’s school years. He’s a mysterious character who’s surely gotten up to a lot of adventures during his time at Hogwarts. But let’s add another element to this idea – imagine if we had the story from the perspective of another character who was determined to find out exactly what Tom Riddle was up to. That would add quite a lot of drama. We as viewers would wait with bated breath to see whether or not Tom catches on to the fact that he’s being watched by someone other than Dumbledore.

Those were some ideas for Harry Potter shows that we would like to see. Whatever the show ends up being about, fans will surely be eager to check it out.
