According to “sources within the production team,” Wes Anderson’s upcoming film, The French Dispatch, will be a “love letter to journalists,” set in the Parisian offices of an American newspaper circa the 20th-century. The film will cover three distinct storylines, populated by a rich ensemble cast, including Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, Timothée Chalamet, and Bill Murray, with whom Anderson has previously worked with in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Moonrise Kingdom.

This will be Anderson’s tenth feature film, and the first to be set in France, where he currently lives. The French Dispatch is now in the filming stage of production in the southwest of France.
While there is not much information out about the film’s plot just yet, the cast is very exciting. Veteran actors like McDormand, Swinton, Wright, and Del Toro, along with Anderson-regular Murray are sure to shine in the upcoming movie, and with Chalamet expected to be a serious Academy Award contender for his turn in Beautiful Boy, the film is clearly stocked with talent.
