Stephanie Perkin’s 2017 thriller novel, There’s Someone Inside Your House will be adapted for a Netflix original movie set to begin production this Fall.
The story follows a group of high school seniors targeted by a masked figure. Sounding reminiscent to the first season “Black Hood” plot of Riverdale, this new horror will call back to the teen horror genre of the 80’s and 90’s. Students run to escape death as well as their own dark secrets.

Sydney Park, currently starring in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, will lead the film as Makani- the new girl in town. Theodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Dale Whibley, Jesse LaTourette, Burkely Duffield and Diego Josef will also join the cast.

Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps, as well as James Wan and Michael Clear of Atomic Monster, will produce the new film with Patrick Brice directing from Henry Gayden’s script. The film does not currently have a release date, but plans to start filming in Vancouver will begin in the Fall.
There’s Someone Inside Your House promises to be the perfect combination of horror, thriller and the adolescent coming of age story. Characters will fall in love, study for tests, look for part-time jobs and hopefully avoid the manic killings happening all around them.
