The book is about three girls at an elite ballet school in Manhattan, who are all vying to be the prima ballerina. Gigi, is the new girl and all she wants to do is dance, but it could kill her. Then, there’s Bette, who just wants to escape the shadow of her older sister who was a star ballerina. She could go to dangerous lengths to make sure she outshines her sister. June, on the other hand has so much pressure from her mom to land the lead role or else her mom will take her out of the academy. All three of these girls have a lot of stress on their backs. Based on the trailer, that you can watch right here, the actors are really bringing these girls to life.

The actors in the series are Casimere Jollette as Bette, Daniela Norman as June and Kylie Jefferson will be portrayed Gigi, or as she is named on the show, Neveah. The name change is a bit odd, since the other girls got to keep their names, but the character arc shouldn’t be any different. There is also a sequel to the book titled, Shiny Broken Pieces, however no word of a season two has been announced. Based on the premise and how good the trailer looks, once the show premieres and the world sees how good it is, then it should get renewed.
In the meantime, get ready for the premiere of the first season by reading the books, right here.
Tiny Pretty Things starts streaming on Netflix on December 14th.
