Ugh. That is not enough, Disney. You can’t do this. It’s been thirteen years since The Incredibles was released. You cannot give us eight seconds after thirteen years of waiting. That is not fair. The full trailer will premiere tomorrow on ESPN during Game Day.
Brad Bird returns as writer and director of The Incredibles 2. Next to nothing is known about the movie’s story, but we do know it will pick up right after the events of the first movie, presumably giving some closure on The Underminer. We also know the sequel will be more Elastigirl focused, leaving Mr. Incredible at home to raise Jack-Jack, who we now know has insane superpowers.

The first movie was heavily inspired by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s original Fantastic Four comic books, and came out just at the cusp of the superhero movie craze. It’ll be interesting to see how Brad Bird crafts a new Incredibles movie with Marvel and DC movies dominating the box office on a weekly basis.
Stay tuned for the full trailer tomorrow and warm up your VHS player and rewatch The Incredibles!
