There’s great news for lovers of the late, and positively great, Sir Terry Pratchett. According to The Bookseller, Penguin Random House Children’s has announced the coming of a collection of Pratchett’s short stories to be published this summer. As a young man, Pratchett wrote a series of hilarious children’s short stories which were compiled, posthumously, into the first volume: Dragon’s at Crumbling Castle. The coming collection of 14 short stories, titled The Witches Vacuum Cleaner, will be illustrated by Mark Beech.
In a press release, the managing director at Penguin Random House Children’s, Francesca Dow, commented, “Dragons at Crumbling Castle engaged a new generation of Terry Pratchett fans, and we are delighted to be building on this success by publishing a second collection of Terry’s fantastically funny stories. Once you’ve read Pratchett, you love Pratchett – and our mission is to inspire even more young readers with his wonderful stories.”
