Stephen Colbert Publishes Kids’ Book About Trump’s Response to Hurricane Irma

Late night talk show host, Stephen Colbert has gotten seriously political! He constantly shares his opinions on how the White house is being run, I guess it makes sense that he has now written a political children’s book!

On his show on Friday, Colbert released information about his new book Whose Boat Is This Boat?: Comments That Don’t Help in the Aftermath of a Hurricane. All proceeds will help states affected by Hurricane Irma. It’s been reported that the earnings will give back to ‘the Foundation for the Carolinas, the One SC Fund, the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and World Central Kitchen.’

Colbert was inspired to write the book after witnessing President’s Trump’s seemingly useless visit to some of the areas affected by the storm. Colbert has stated that Trump seemed uncertain what to say, and seemed particularly preoccupied with one boat that had washed ashore:

He made so many kind of odd comments about that boat that as a joke — ha ha — we turned all of those comments into a children’s book made up entirely of quotes of Trump touring hurricane damage.

What an interesting premise for a children’s book!

Stephen Colbert also has another book coming out November 6th called by Donald Trump (by accident) that is being published by Simon & Schuster, so get ready!
