Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, one of the police officers from Louisville, Kentucky, who shot Breonna Taylor in her home has written a book called, ‘The Fight for Truth: The Inside Story Behind the Breonna Taylor Tragedy’. The book is being published by Post Hill Press, which is a small independent publisher focused on and specializes conservative and christian values.

Post Hill Press books are usually distributed by Simon & Schuster but due to the controversy behind the novel they have refused to distribute it. After making a statement about not having editorial control of the books they release they put out  another statement saying that they will be NOT distributing the book.

“Like much of the American public, earlier today Simon & Schuster learned of plans by distribution client Post Hill Press to publish a book by Jonathan Mattingly,” the publisher said. “We have subsequently decided not be involved in the distribution of this book.”

There is no word on who will distribute it, however Post Hill Press will continue to stand by the decision to publish the book, according to Kelsey Merritt, a spokeswoman from Post Hill Press.
