Bill Clinton, as you’ve probably heard, used to be the president of the United States. As of June 2018, he will also be a novelist. His book The President Is Missing (which is kind of an on-the-nose title) was co-written by bestselling crime novelist James Patterson, and will hit shelves next year thanks to Alfred A. Knopf and Little Brown. Oh, and Showtime is making it a TV show. Already.
In a publicity statement, Showtime president and CEO Davis Nevins said ‘bringing The President is Missing to Showtime is a coup of the highest order.’
The official synopsis of the book from James Patterson’s website is ‘a sitting U.S. President is missing.’ You don’t say? Yes, I can see why Showtime is so interested in this one-of-a-kind story.
Anyway, The President Is Missing comes out June 11, 2018 and you can order it here. If you feel like it.
