Actors Shelley Conn (Liar, The Irregulars) and Calam Lynch (Dunkirk, Derry Girls) are the latest additions to the popular Regency-era Netflix show Bridgerton.
Season 2 of Bridgerton will focus on eldest sibling Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) as he searches for the perfect wife as outlined in the second novel, The Viscount Who Loved Me. Conn and Lynch are joined by Simone Ashley, who plays Anthony’s love interest, Kate Sharma; Charithra Chandran, who plays Kate’s sister Edwina who first catches his eye; and Rupert Young, who will play a character not featured in the novels.
Shelley Conn will play the Sharma sisters’ mother, Mary, who was once the subject of a scandal, and Calam Lynch will play Theo Sharpe, a printer’s assistant and intellectual that fights for others’ rights.
Rupert Young will play Jack, who is new to the Ton and has a connection to a prominent family. His arrival brings about a mystery for the Bridgertons. With the devastating news that fan-favorite Regé-Jean Page will not be returning for season 2, these new additions to the cast should excite the fans.
Welcome to the Ton!
