The legacy of punk musician Iggy Pop is well known. Both as a frontman for The Stooges and in his solo career, Iggy Pop has been making music for over fifty years across a variety of genres with multiple artists. With such a storied career, the musician has decided to reflect on it with a new book.
Iggy Pop announced on his Instagram page the title of his upcoming book Till Wrong Feels Right. Across the book’s 200+ pages, readers will get the complete lyrics for over 100 Iggy songs as essays, notes and full-color photos of concerts and behind-the-scenes secrets. The book will be published by Penguin Random House.
The book is also meant to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first Stooges album.
The book is available on October 1st, but is available for pre-order today. Here is the official description from Penguin Random House:
“James Osterberg Jr. aka Iggy Pop hasn’t left a mark on music; he’s left it battered, bruised, and covered in blood. From fronting the legendary proto-punk band The Stooges to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 to collaborating with an eclectic mix of artists including David Bowie, Lou Reed, Debbie Harry, Jack White, and Josh Homme, Iggy is an icon of rock and roll. Here for the first time are his collected lyrics, beautifully illustrated and complete with his and others’ reflections on a genre-defining music career that spans five decades.”
