Village Books, Bellingham, WA

This year’s set of finalists represent the health of independent bookstores in general, PW publisher Cevin Bryerman explains. “[The finalists] are coming off a strong holiday season, and several just opened, or are about to open, second or third locations.”

The final winner of the Bookstore of the Year award will be announced in late March. The winning store will be featured in the April 18 edition of Publishers Weekly, and the award will be officially presented at BookExpo America (BEA). BEA 2016 will take place in Chicago, Wednesday, May 11 through Friday, May 13.
