When the national youth poet laureate, Amanda Gorman, recited her poem, The Hill We Climb, at the forty-sixth presidential inauguration, the world was blown away by her poise, youthful wisdom and power of both prose and speech. Her poetry book sales skyrocketed after the appearance, and now, Penguin Young Readers (a division of Penguin Random House) has announced that they are publishing a special commemorative edition of The Hill We Climb, to be available for purchase on March sixteenth of this year.

Due to overwhelming demand, Penguin Young Readers will publish a special hardcover edition of “The Hill We Climb,” the poem written and delivered by Amanda Gorman at the inauguration of the 46th president of the United States, Joe Biden. At age 22, Ms. Gorman is the sixth and youngest poet to deliver a poetry reading at a presidential inauguration, joining a select group that includes Maya Angelou, Robert Frost and Elizabeth Alexander. The special edition will be released this spring, with a first printing of 150,000.
