Gaby and Adam have started their next book. For the first time they are reading a book written by a non-American author, Lisa McInerney. In this podcast they discuss the author, Ireland, and the dark humor they expect to become immersed in. The beginning of the book starts with a murder done by the main character’s grandmother. One thing leads to another and four other edgy characters are brought into the mix.
They also discuss the possibility of religious undertones because of the title and typically catholic tradition of Ireland. The title suggest a redeeming element that goes along with committing heresies. No doubt the book should contain challenges to contemporary understandings of morality. Lets get started!
