New Trailer Arrives for J.K. Rowling’s “Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling”

BBC has released an official trailer of the detective thriller “The Cuckoo’s Calling,” in anticipation of Sunday’s premiere.

As we announced earlier this month, BBC will soon air a 3-part TV adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s critically acclaimed crime novel, which was published in 2013 under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Though Rowling is often recognized as the writer of the fantasy series, Harry Potter, she brings a magical touch to this realistic yet startling crime plot.

Starring Tom Burke as detective Cormoran Strike, the series follows his investigation model Lula Landry’s supposed suicide. The chilling trailer teases the complex web surrounding Landry’s death and the moments leading up to it. This trailer offers a chilling preview of what we can expect to see, from a wide variety of characters offering varying perspectives of Landry’s predicament to the impressive camera work, which puts viewers into the shoes of these characters,.
