The new year promises the premiere of new and returning adaptations to feed our totally healthy addiction to Netflix. While I’m sure many New Year’s resolutions revolved around watching less television, let’s be honest, when it comes to seeing our favorite stories play out on screens, it’s hard to help ourselves.
And what’s a better way to welcome 2018 than taking a nostalgic journey into the series that gave many readers some serious childhood issues to work out in therapy. A Series of Unfortunate Events, based on the thirteen-part saga written by Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler), will return to Netflix on March 30th.
The second season will continue to explore the trials and tribulations of the Baudelaire orphan siblings as they seek to learn the truth behind the mysterious deaths of their parents. Meanwhile, they must evade the cunning sneer of Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris), the criminal antagonist whose obsession with the siblings and crazy antics promises a hell of a story.
