Netflix Releases Trailer for the Final Season of ‘Atypical’

In the coming episodes, the show continues to explore the emotional highs where Sam sets his eyes on the nearly impossible goal, each family member faces challenges they never anticipated.

The trailer for Atypical, the Peabody-nominated Netflix drama starring Keir Gilchrist, has been released for the final season and will premiere on July 9. The series was created by Robia Rashid, whose previous work includes writing for How I Met Your Mother.

According to Deadline, the fourth season wraps up the coming of age story of Sam, a 19- year old on the autism spectrum, on his quest for love and independence, which creates conflict with his overprotective mother. The rest of the family must grapple with the change during Sam’s emotional journey of self-discovery where he uncovers the real meaning of “normal.” In the coming episodes, the show continues to explore the emotional highs where Sam sets his eyes on the nearly impossible goal, and each family member faces challenges they never anticipated.

Atypical is produced for Netflix by Sony Pictures TV in association with Exhibit A and Weird Brain Inc. The show stars Keir Gilchrist, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Rapaport, and Brigette Lundy Paine as members of the Gardner family.
