Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher is coming soon, but it might be even sooner than expected thanks to a little mistake from the ones making the series.
A now-deleted tweet by the streaming service teased all the upcoming shows coming in the fall. One of those shows was The Witcher, which hadn’t had its release date revealed at this point. Rather than reveal the date outright, the tweet counted down the days until the eventual release.

This means that the show will debut on December 17th, just in time for Christmas.
The Witcher is based on a series of Polish fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski about Geralt of Rivia, a “witcher” who is tasked to protect Ciri, a witcher-in-training who Geralt is tasked with protecting. The series became more well-known thanks to the popular video game trilogy that concluded in 2015.
