As social distancing rules continue, Harry Potter at Home is Spotify’s new way of bringing fans from all over the world together. All 17 chapters of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone are being read by the stars of the Wizarding World, including the one and only Daniel Radcliff who read chapter one: “The Boy Who Lives.”
Since then, more people have joined the cast. As of right now, there are six chapters available read by different celebrities such as Noma Dumezweni who read Chapter Two: “The Vanishing Glass,” Eddie Redmayne who read Chapter Three: “The Letters from No One,” Stephen Fry who read Chapter Four: “The Keeper of the Keys,” Simon Callow, Bonnie Wright, and Evanna Lynch with Chapter Five: “Diagon Alley.” Most recently, Jamie Parker, who along with the cast members of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child gave a dramatized reading of Chapter Six: “The Journey from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.”
You can listen to all of these recordings for free on Spotify and Spotify Kids. And if you want to be even more involved with it, you can send some of your art based on key scenes from the book and submit them for a chance to get featured! You can read more about this opportunity and the submission guidelines here.
Revisiting this classic seems like the perfect way to spend the evening. We can’t wait to see what other surprises they bring.
