As devoted fans of Marvel very well know, both its comics and the Cinematic Universe are huge in scope. Countless characters appear both within the pages and onscreen, thus leading to the potential to create and tell hundreds of stories. Recently, Marvel has been cementing its presence on Disney+ with successful shows such as WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki.
While these shows’ first seasons officially came to an end, viewers can expect to see more of Marvel on the streaming platform in the near future. Some of the upcoming Marvel projects set to make their homes on Disney+ are What If…?, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, and Secret Invasion.
According to Disney+, Secret Invasion “showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.” The show’s title is taken from a comic storyline with the same name where the alien Skrull race invades Earth by “using their shapeshifting abilities to take on the form of various superheroes, Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel” writes Comic Book Resources (CBR). The series itself is likely to deviate from the original storyline.
Secret Invasion is reportedly to begin filming next month. As previously reported by Movieweb and ComicBook, this past Sunday, Marvel insider Charles Murphy shared a tweet stating that Secret Invasion will film from mid-August to December. Murphy also warns people to not become too “attached” to filming dates because they are subject to change. However, unless there are any major setbacks, most likely related to COVID-19, the filming schedule as reported should be unlikely to change, writes ComicBook.
I ALWAYS try to convince people not to get too attached to an exact start date of filming because they do change. However, the timeframe will remain the same.

Samuel L. Jackson will return to his role as Nick Fury in Secret Invasion, while Ben Mendelsohn will reprise his character Talos. Also starring in Secret Invasion are Olivia Colman (The Crown), Kingsley Ben-Adir (High Fidelity), and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones). Unfortunately, their roles are still undisclosed at this time.
The first teaser for Secret Invasion came in the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home when it was revealed that Talos was really impersonating Fury on Earth, while the real Fury had been working aboard a Skrull spaceship, writes CBR. As of now, there is no premiere date available for Secret Invasion.
