Director Martin Scorsese and Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up again for a feature adaptation of the novel Killers of the Flower Moon. The pair have worked together on numerous other successful projects such as The Departed, The Aviator, and Gangs of the New York, so its safe to say this movie will be a hit!
The screenplay for the New York Times bestseller by David Grann, was written by Eric Rothe, known for adapting the script for Forrest Gump. Killers of the Flower Moon explores the 1920s Oklahoma Osage murders and the birth of the FBI.

Deadline announced Martin Scorsese’s excitement for the upcoming film. “When I read David Grann’s book, I immediately started seeing it” he said, “the people, the settings, the action—and I knew that I had to make it into a movie, I’m so excited to be working with Eric Roth and reuniting with Leo DiCaprio to bring this truly unsettling American story to the screen.”
Scorsese will be producing along with Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way Productions. Imperative, has already met with Osage Nation in talk of location possibilities within the land. Filming will begin Summer of 2019. Killers of the Flower Moon was voted one of the best non-fiction books of 2017 by Time magazine and if it’s Scorsese and DiCaprio working together, I have no doubt this movie will be incredibly gripping and a definite Oscar contender.
