After MCU completed its third phase and ended the Infinity Saga, Marvel fans were left wondering what would happen to their favorite heroes. While we know Chris Evans (Captain America) and Robert Downey Jr. (Ironman) will not be returning to MCU, fans still want to know what will happen with characters like Thor, Scott Lang, and Bruce Banner. Thankfully, Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk) has offered fans some insight into what his character may be doing in Phase Four.
In an interview with Variety, Ruffalo revealed that he is more than open to coming back as The Hulk and there are a few opportunities to do so. Ruffalo specifically referenced the She-Hulk TV series, stating that “there’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in [the Disney Plus series] ‘She-Hulk.’” That makes complete sense, seeing that Banner has an extremely important role in turning Jennifer Walters into She-Hulk and the characters are related (Walters is Banner’s cousin).

Ruffalo also opened up about wanting a solo movie. Unlike the previous actors who played The Hulk, Ruffalo never got his chance to play the big guy in his own movie. The new element of Professor Hulk, as seen in Avengers: Endgame, can also add an interesting twist. Imagine a movie where The Hulk is a celebrity and a teen icon. It would be amazing. Add the fact that most people don’t even remember The Incredible Hulk movie from Phase One and it only seems right that Ruffalo gets the chance to star in his own Hulk movie.

Hulk fans everywhere can only hope that Marvel goes through with these plans. A new Hulk movie, a part in She-Hulk, anything really. Everyone needs a little more Hulk in their life.
