Marie Kondo isn’t done helping you tidy up your life. She has trained minions to help you tidy your homes when she’s unavailable. She has created products to help you organize your belongings. She has now turned her attention toward developing your kids’ organizational skills.
House Beautiful reports that the bestselling author has been quietly writing a children’s book that teaches the next generation all about her trademark KonMari method. The bestselling The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up now has a sequel.
Kondo confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing the book’s name and title.
Kiki & Jax: The Life Changing Magic of Friendship follows Kiki the collector and Jax the sorter. The two friends experience some turmoil in their relationship when Kiki’s collection gets out of hand.
“They have to figure out how to make room for what’s always sparked joy – their friendship,” reads the book’s description on Kondo’s website.

The children’s book is co-written and illustrated by award-winning author Selina Yoon, and highlights the greatest strength of the KonMari method, that anyone (even children) can do it.
“It’s a timeless story about friendship, and I hope that the characters of Kiki and Jax will inspire children and families to tidy and embrace joy!” Kondo adds.
Kiki & Jax arrives on November 5th.
