Today, Cohen would’ve been 83, but with the one year anniversary of his death in November, the music industry knows just how to celebrate his timeless influence.

It was recently announced that artists like Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello, Sting, Feist, and many more will be participating in ‘Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen’ in Montreal on November 6th. The poet, singer, songwriter, novelist, painter, and musician would dive into various topics in his work. Religious views and sexuality were among the areas that Cohen’s words would bring to life.

According to Rolling Stone, Hal Willner, the overseer of the concert, called Cohen a “literary and musical icon of word-craft.” Willner even went on to say he’s “one of the great poets and songwriters of all time.”  Ain’t that the truth.

All the proceeds of the show will go towards various Councils of the Arts in Canada. What better way to inspire artists of any age?
