Universal Cable Productions has just announced a new spate of new TV shows—and an adaptation of a beloved Kurt Vonnegut novel is among them.
Dan Harmon, creator of beloved series like “Community” and “Rick and Morty”, and Evan Katz, executive producer of “24”, will collaborate on bringing Vonnegut’s 1959 work “The Sirens of Titan” to the small screen. Written in Vonnegut’s signature witty style, “Titan” follows Malachi Constant, the richest man in 22nd Century America, and the intergalactic/philosophical journey he is forced to take on after his extraordinary luck begins to run out.

Though it is as yet unknown where the series will end up, NBC, USA, and Syfy have all been raised as possibilities. In the meantime, Harmon fans will be glad to know that the third season of “Rick and Morty” will return July 30th on Adult Swim. As Rick Sanchez would probably say: wubalubadubdub!
