This week Kit Harington revealed – after much painful waiting and conspiracies unbound – that his character, Jon Snow, will be returning to Season 6 of Game of Thrones, and that filming is already under way. But just what kinds of scenes is Harington shooting?
Snow devotees may want to skip the next few lines…
According to Harington, Snow will return in the form of a corpse in the next season (which is a limited role to say the least). While we were hoping for the best, surviving an inordinate number of stab wounds just doesn’t make the imaginative cut apparently—even in a fantasy show.
Yet, there is a beacon of hope. In a response as cryptic at the sixth season teaser, Harington told reporters, “I know how long I’m a corpse for, but I can’t tell you that!’
Fans are starting to pick apart his words for meaning, and are just as perplexed as to what the extended role of a corpse could suggest. Maybe the saying that a skeleton doesn’t stay buried for long is a little more visceral than we think? Maybe we’re just in denial?
Alas, we still know nothing.
