The wait is over; John Green’s newest novel finally has a release date as well as a book cover!
It’s been five years since John Green has released his last book, “The Fault in Our Stars” which not only received critical acclaim, but reached the big screen when it was adapted into a feature film in 2014.
Though fans have had to wait patiently (or not so patiently) since, we’re two steps closer to getting our hands on Green’s new book.
The book cover for “Turtles All the Way Down” was unveiled today on Good Morning America. Featuring large bold font and an orange spiral layered underneath, the cover is quite striking.

The cover no doubt connects to the plot. “Turtles All the Way Down” is about a teenage girl names Aza Holmes who investigates the disappearance of a fugitive billionaire all the while battling obsessive-compulsive-disorder.
The cover likely hints at the downward spiral of the protagonist’s mental illness, as well as the search for something (or someone) that isn’t easily sought.
The characterization of the protagonist hits close to home for Green. In July he released a video on YouTube discussing his own personal struggles with OCD.
The deeply personal nature of the book, as well as the mature tone that Green may have acquired since his last book five years ago, will be incredible to see.
“Turtles All the Way Down” will hit bookstores on October 10, 2017.
