J.K. Rowling has been known to inspire people everywhere including Irish artist Paul Broughall who painted a wonderful painting of Rowling as, well, a chicken. Yep, you read that right.
If you use Twitter than you may be familiar with Broughall’s celebrity portraits featured on his account, Artistic Chicks. Inspired by the fun adventures he made up with toy chickens found in his childhood home, Broughall began playing around with ideas and began painting celebrities as chicks, with muses including the likes of Ariana Grande, Chrissy Teigen, Kris Jenner, and, lately, J.K. Rowling. The Irish artist recently shared his portrait of J.K. Rowling with the Harry Potter author and received this amazing response.

Rowling isn’t the only celebrity who has responded positively to Broughall’s chick portraits. Sarah Jessica Parker said that she was “honored” after seeing her portrait while Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams said Broughall’s artwork was “genius.”

Perhaps whats even better than these unique artworks, is the heartwarming reason behind it.
“It’s not your usual illustration. It’s innocent and we live in a fairly dim world sometimes so it’s nice to escape for a bit with something new and light hearted,” Broughall told The Daily Edge. “It’s stopping people for a second to think about what they’re seeing. “People painted as chickens.”
