While Stephen King’s novel alternates between the Losers’ Club as children and as adults upon their return to Derry, Andrés Muschietti wanted Chapter One to focus solely on the kids, while Chapter Two will follow them as adults with flashbacks to when they were children. Muschietti recently said to Yahoo Movies:
There will be a dialogue between the two timelines, which is something that I love from the book, so it’s not just the [Losers’ Club as] adults, we’re going to come back to 1989.
Jaeden Lieberher has confirmed his return to the role of Bill Denbrough, and suggested Ewan McGregor for the role of his older self, which seems pretty plausible!
So start counting down the days to September 6th, the return of the Losers’ Club and, of course, Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
Looking forward to the return of this charming man. / Image Via Tenor
