After the first issues are released, those who subscribe will have two options for continuing the series: They can opt for a twice-monthly digital release schedule, or wait for the complete physical release two months later. This system is part of their new Premier #1 Program.

The reason that AWBW chose this method of distribution is to streamline comic serialization as much as possible, offering a sampler for readers before they commit to a whole series.

“Two of the challenges that prevent fans from reading indie comics are the difficulty in finding all the issues and waiting long periods of time for them to come out. We’ve addressed both of those problems by having the full series completed in advance and ready to deliver in whatever format the reader prefers.”

Does this new distribution model sound like a winner to you?
