James McAvoy will be the lead role of the new audible adaptation of The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. He plays Morpheus, also known as Dream. The rest of this amazing cast includes Riz Ahmed as the Corinthian, Kat Dennings as Death, Taron Egerton as John Constantine, Samantha Morton as Urania Blackwell, Andy Serkis as Matthew the Raven, Michael Sheen as Lucifer, and Bebe Neuwirth as the Siamese Cat.

The series will feature an original score by James Hannigan, who also composed music for Harry Potter. The main voice ensemble also features Justin Vivian Bond as Desire, Arthur Darvill as William Shakespeare, William Hope as Doctor Destiny, Matthew Horne as Hob Gadling, Reginald D. Hunter as Jonn Jonzz, Sue Johnston as Unity Kinkaid, Paterson Joseph as Demon Choronzon, Josie Lawrence as Mad Hettie, Anton Lesser as Doctor John Hathaway, Joanna Lumley as Lady Johanna Constantine, Miriam Margolyes as Despair.

Phew, that is one big cast! It sounds just as good as one for a major motion picture!

Neil Gaiman will be narrating producing the adaptation as the co-executer. The first part will come out July 15th. Gaiman wrote The Sandman in 1989 and was published by DC Comics. Dirk Maggs will write and direct the Audible series.

Morpheus is one of the seven immortal “Endless” beings who is taken from his realm by a cult who imprisons him on Earth. After decades of being in captivity, he escapes. In order to gain his power back and his dominion, he must look for three “tools.” While he is searching for these “tools” he meets a wide cast of fascinating characters.

This Audible series sounds like it will be a wild ride for our ears!
