Most would recognize The Catcher in the Rye as a classic as we were forced to read it as part of a curriculum. Surprisingly, though, it was one of those rare required books that you end up loving – well, most of us. Others weren’t so convinced that Catcher should be a classic, because angsty teen, Holden Caulfield was someone we seemed to despise. I believe Catcher holds a lot of valuable life lessons and is a classic novel about the struggle of growing up.
These hilariously horrible book reviews either confirm or challenge what you thought of the novel. What do you think? Do you agree?
