Hilariously Horrible Book Reviews: ‘Heart of Darkness’ Edition

Heart of Darkness is one of those novellas that sticks with you even after reading it. It’s short but full of so much detail about the Belgian colonization of the Congo. Joseph Conrad revisits stereotypes about the Congo being a dark and evil place through one of the main characters, Captain Kurtz, who gets “lost” and is never the same again. Conrad’s story was adapted into the gritty movie, Apocalypse Now. Whew! Maybe these bad book reviews will lighten up your mood…
