This is unreal. Could it be true? Is it a hoax? No, I’m not talking about earth-invading aliens or an apocalypse. I’m referring to HBO’s blessed decision to play all eight of the Harry Potter films! Yeah, I know. How glorious!

The Home Box Office (it should now be HPO, Home Potter Office, am I right?) has taken on all the Potter films in addition to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Beginning on January 1st, 2018 at 9 a.m., the company will start with The Sorcerer’s Stone and play all day through to Deathly Hallows Part Two. What a way to start the new year right?
But it ain’t over yet: HBO will then start over again on January 2nd at 8 p.m. and play one movie a night. That means you can use your HBO NOW, HBO GO, On Demand, and all those other fancy apps and portals to watch Harry Potter… Whenever and wherever! Extraordinary.

Apparently Syfy and USA will also be getting in on the action from 2018 to 2025. And if you can’t wait I know Freeform tends to play a marathon of it right around Christmas time from December 28th to the 31st. Basically, you’ve got a lot of watching to do.
But don’t go missing out on any holiday festivities! Harry will be waiting for you when you get back.
