True Blood reboot on HBO

HBO Brings True Blood Reboot

HBO is rebooting the 2008 to 2013 hit fantasy series, True Blood! Based off of Charlaine Harris’ series of vampire novels, True Blood’s original series featured Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. No word yet as to the reboot‘s actors, story line or release date, but our blood is pumping for more news!

Riverdale’s creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, is taking viewers back to Bon Temps, Louisiana, during a time where synthetic blood enabled vampires to come out of hiding and live amongst humans. True Blood’s original series creator, Alan Ball, also has a hand in this new development for the fandom.

Aguirre-Sacasa is set to write a pilot for the new version with Jami O’Brien (AMC’s NOS4A2). The duo will executive produce with Ball. Aguirre-Sacasa, who has an overall deal at True Blood producer Warner Bros. TV, is also shepherding a reboot of Pretty Little Liars at HBO Max in addition to overseeing The CW’s Riverdale, which begins its fifth season in January.
