HBO Announces 4 ‘Game of Thrones’ Spinoff Shows

There may only be two more seasons of Game of Thrones left but fans need not worry! HBO has announced that they are working on four new offshoot series after the show reaches its conclusion. These new offshoot shows could be sequels or spinoffs, but the most anticipated is a prequel.

Many people have been wanting a prequel for years. Fans want to see Robert’s Rebellion, young Ned Stark, the Mad King, and the tourney at Harrenhal that started the Rhaegar and Lyanna romance. After the original show ends, a sequel will probably be even more desirable so fans can see the aftermath of whoever sits on the Iron Throne.

The current showrunners, Dan Weiss and David Benioff, will be executive producers for the four shows but not writers. The four writers (along with A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin) who will be contributing are:

Max Borenstein (Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island

Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Secret Service, X-Men: Days of Future Past)

Brian Helgeland (A Knight’s Tale, L.A. Confidential, and Legend)

Carly Wray (Westworld, The Leftovers, and Mad Men

Despite the lack of knowledge about these new shows, nothing has stopped fans from already creating their own hilarious series titles:
