Harry Potter‘s very own Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in all eight iconic fantasy films, recently hosted his first live rewatch of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with fans on Instagram. Starting with a chipper serenade via ukulele to introduce what he plans to be a series of live rewatching experiences, he shared some laughs and some tears as he dove into (for the first time in just about two decades!) the film that launched his acting career and forged life-long friendships during his formative years.

One would never expect Harry Potter’s nemesis to be so effervescent in real life. Felton is now thirty-three years old and still not tired of the fandom he belongs to. In fact, he’s quite proud of the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series; a fact evidenced by the tears he was blinking back throughout the entire rewatch of his first year at Hogwarts. “It’s mental,” he said. “I’m just tearing up rather than giving you commentary, but it will get better.”
Felton shared with People.com:
“I feel like we’ll be doing a lot of reminiscing, probably in various forms next year,” he said, before he noted that it feels “insane” that it’s been 19 years since he starred alongside Grint, Emma Watson and his fellow castmates in the first Harry Potter film.
If you missed this first live stream, don’t worry! Fans of Harry Potter can expect more shared rewatching sessions with Tom Felton on Instagram. “We’re definitely going to try this again,” he said.
