‘Harry Potter’s’ Rupert Grint Reacts to Rumored HBO Max Series

With reports of a rumored Harry Potter series coming to HBO Max, one of the original stars of the film series is reacting to the news. In a recent interview with Variety, Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in all of the Harry Potter films, shared his thoughts on the potential new series and whether or not he saw himself being a part of it.

“It’ll be weird if it was a continuation kind of thing. I weirdly feel quite protective of that character,” he said. “Even when I saw the stage shows, it was a strange experience. […] If it’s like a different group of friends, I guess it would be interesting.”

The former Harry Potter actor also previously made headlines when he admitted that he hasn’t seen all eight films of the series that he starred in.

“I’ve probably seen the first three at the premieres, but after that I stopped watching them,” he said. “But now that I have a daughter, I will probably have to watch them with her.”

Grint is currently starring in the second season of Servant from executive producer M. Night Shyamalan. The series is available on Apple TV Plus.
