Harry Potter Meets High Fashion on This Stylin’ Insta Account

Well, I must say, the Harry Potter cast is looking particularly fierce lately, but it could just be the new Instagram account Gryffindior that was created earlier this year. If you love labels, magic, and think scarlet and gold go perfectly together, then you must check out this page. It’s tres chic.

HelloGiggles reported that the creators of Who What Wear spoke with Rachel Bernstein recently. She’s the creator behind this clever and witty Instagram and she revealed how she got the idea for the wizarding world and the fashion world to fuse together.

Gryffindior came about during one of my 3 a.m. ‘I can’t sleep’ moments (a time I typically have the best creative ideas). I’d been looking for a project to brush up my Photoshop skills, the Instagram handle was still available (to my surprise!) and from there I started researching images and making posts… I’ve worked in the fashion industry for the last eight years and grew up reading/watching the Harry Potter franchise, so I loved the idea of creating a world where the Gryffindor House collides with the House of Dior.

And when I say these looks work, I mean they really work. Take a look:

As if everyone’s favorite house couldn’t get any cooler, that just happened. But what about the others? Bernstein hasn’t touched on them yet, but sees Slytherin in Yves Saint Laurent, Hufflepuffs in Stella McCartney, and Ravenclaws in Gucci. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Bernstein turns out, but she does not miss a stitch.
