Why did you start your Bookstagram?
I have always been a reader and wanted to share my love for books with others, as I didn’t have that many reader friends in my life. I had been following Jess from @jessicarmwrites for a while, and her content inspired me to just take the risk and start a Bookstagram! It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Where are you from?
Southern California.
What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?
I want my Bookstagram to be a safe and welcoming place for people to talk about their love for books. Reading has always been a refuge and comfort for me, and I want my content to be a source of inspiration and coziness for other readers wherever they are in their reading journey (whether they are life-long readers or just getting into reading).
What’s a fun fact about you?
Outside of reading, I love working out, cooking, traveling, and playing video games!

Who’s your fictional crush?
Aaron Warner from the Shatter Me series and Dorian Havilliard from the Throne of Glass series (I can’t pick just one!).
What’s your special approach to content?
I want to create content that allows me to connect with other book lovers and gives them a safe place to talk about their current reads. Whether it’s screaming about my love for a book, theorizing about a book’s ending, or swooning over a fictional crush, there is something so magical about connecting over a book with someone who lives a million miles away, especially when we all have our own interpretations and understandings of a book.
What’s your aesthetic / Instagram page theme?
I like to think my page is comforting and cozy, but I’ve been really leaning into “cozy chaos” lately. I have cozy lifestyle videos but also annotations, photo dumps, journaling videos, etc. It’s all really a reflection of my love for books, cozy living, and stationery.
How often do you post?
I try to post two to three times a week, depending on how busy I am that week with my full-time job.
What does your Bookstagram mean to you?
It means so much to me — it’s a place where I can share my passion for books and reading with others, a community that has allowed me to cultivate friendships with people throughout the world, and a way for me to stalk my favorite authors (hehe).
What’s your favorite bookstore?
The Ripped Bodice in LA.
What author would you love to take a selfie with?
My dream is to one day take a selfie with Sarah J. Maas! I’ve been reading her books since 2012 and I feel like she played such a huge role in my young adulthood up until now.
When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?
When people started telling me that my content inspired them to get back into reading and began asking me for book recs!
Do you have any advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers?
If you’re thinking about starting a Bookstagram, just go for it! I started my account in 2018, posting all my thoughts and non-aesthetic photos to my few followers (who were probably only my friends and family). It’s also so easy to get stuck in comparison and looking at the number of likes and follows you get. When you get in that headspace, try to remind yourself why you started your account and what or who you are doing it for.
