George W. Bush’s Daughters to Release Children’s Book

Twin daughters of former President George W. Bush, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush, are working on their second book together according to the Los Angeles Times.

Sisters First is being written as a children’s book, and will touch upon similar themes of sibling bonding as their Sisters First: Stories From Our Wild and Wonderful Life memoir. The book will be published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and released on October 8.

“It’s all about sisterhood, whether it’s blood sisters like Barbara and me, or friends or colleagues like y’all,” Hager told her “Today Show” co-anchors while making the announcement. “We had so much fun working on it together.”

Their new book, illustrated by Ramona Kaulitzki, follows a young girl’s ever growing bond with her baby sister. While her baby sister can’t do much at first when she arrives, the two eventually become inseparable.
