‘Game of Thrones’ Villain to Star in Upcoming Christmas Film

Fans of Game of Thrones know Iwan Rheon as the actor who portrayed the malicious and sociopathic Ramsay Bolton, arguably one of the most cruel and evil characters within the entire world of Westeros (if not television in general). Rheon’s next role is a drastic change from Ramsay; he will portray Blake Cutter in the upcoming movie A Christmas Number One.

According to Pop Culture, Rheon has been promoting the film over the past few months on his Instagram account, often posting short videos of him playing guitar in-between takes. In addition to acting, Rheon is also a talented folk-pop musician, and his songs can be heard on his YouTube channel. His latest album Dinard was released in 2015.

Although there aren’t many details available for A Christmas Number One yet, Pop Culture writes Rheon will likely be showing off his talents as a guitarist throughout the film. Another of Rheon’s Instagram posts revealed the film is being shot in London.

When filming began, Rheon shared a photo of himself with his co-star Freida Pinto, who will play the character Meghna Rai. The film is directed by Christ Cottam and written by Robert Chandler, Giles New, and Kerion Self.

Hannah Steele, Joe Lycett, and Rich Hall are just a few of the other actors cast in A Christmas Number One. The film is a Sky Original, “being produced for television” rather than a “theatrical release.” No specific release date is listed for the movie as of now.
